MICROBLADING
Microblading is a form of permanent make-up. It’s a cosmetic technique where pigment is manually deposited into the skin using a hand-held tool made up of tiny little needles that glide through the skin, creating realistic hair strokes in the brow.
You are numbed prior to the procedure, minimising the level of pain dramatically. Ultimately, it’s all down to how high your pain threshold is. Many clients can barely feel it, whereas others may feel some discomfort.
The skin near the front of your eyebrow is thicker, so this will likely be less painful than the tail of your eyebrow. The tail of your eyebrow sits very close to the temple, where the skin is very thin. The thinner the skin, the more likely you will experience a higher level of discomfort. In saying that, during the procedure there shouldn’t be a point where the pain becomes unbearable.
Micro-bladed brows will take their final shape and colour after the pigment sets in and the skin heals completely, and after the touch up is done. When the brows complete the healing process (4 – 6 weeks), you need to book a touch up to correct all the potential imperfections caused by healing.
Your new brows will need 14 days before you can get them completely wet without disturbing the skin or the healing process. This includes heavy exercise and sweating, showering, and face down swimming.
The healing process after a microblading procedure varies from client to client based on how someone’s skin reacts to the procedure. Here is a list of the most common side effects you may experience after the treatment:
Tenderness in the area
Pink or redness around the affected area
Swelling
Darker pigment colour for the first week
Moderate to thick scabbing 3-4 days after the procedure
Scabs will begin to flake off between days 5 – 10
After scabs flake off, pigment colour and strokes will look lighter and blurry
After area is fully healed (4 weeks after procedure) the pigment will return to healed colour
It really depends on the client and the health of their skin, but microblading procedures should last anywhere from 1 to 3 years. Microblading is not supposed to last forever and will require touch-ups when the pigment begins to fade.

The Ombré Brows procedure typically takes about 2-3 hours. This includes the initial consultation, designing and measuring your brows, applying the numbing cream, and performing the shading technique. The exact time may vary depending on your specific needs and the intricacy of the design.
